I was born in Alitus (Lithuania) but grew up in Ukraine in a small town of Selidovo, about 40 km from Donetsk.
In 2002 I became a student of Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics, Ukraine. In 2007 I successfully graduated from this University as a Master of Science in radio communication broadcasting and television equipment.
I was interested in computers and programming since my school years. On a 1st and 2nd cources of the University I became highly intrested in Linux and network technologies. Pretty soon I turned all my efforts on FreeBSD.
After a year of learning FreeBSD I became a main administrator of amateur local LAN of Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics hostel, where I lived.
We had a network based on PC-routers (of course with the use of freebsd ). There were nearly 200 users'computers in our hostel's local network and about 500-600 in common network joining three hostels.
At that time I had also started my professional career by occupying the position of Unix\Network system administrator at local Internet service providing company.
It was Interesting and happy time then!
Now I am professionaly engaged in Linux system administering
I am focused on stability and security.
I am interested in Linux (CentOS\Debian), OpenVZ virtualization, high-availability systems and clustering, building web servers for heavy load.
I am also interested in FreeBSD, but use it less and less.
